City of Houston Department of Public Works and Engineering

The scope of work this $6.5 million, 450-day schedule project included demolition of existing pavement, sidewalks, etc. and new construction of reinforced concrete pavement with curb and gutter, sidewalks, wheelchair ramps, driveways, storm sewers, sanitary sewers, waterlines, street lights, and site restoration. The project site is generally bounded by U.S. Highway 59 on the south, Richmond Avenue on the north, Dunlavy on the west and Yupon on the east. In this residential area, work was performed along the following roadways: Bonnie Brae, Norfolk, Castle Court, Miramar, Dunlavy, Mandell, Yupon, Graustark, Mt. Vernon, Lexington, Sul Ross and West Main.

The scope of work this $2.8 million, 365-day schedule construction project included demolition of existing pavement, sidewalks, etc. and construction of new reinforced concrete pavement with curb and gutter, sidewalks, wheelchair ramps, driveways, storm sewers, sanitary sewers, waterlines, streetlights and restoration of the right-of-way. The project site is located in three discrete residential areas of the City including: Enid (from Patton to Cavalcade); Azaleadell Loop (Garden Oaks Subdivision); and Thorn Street.


Disaster Recovery Home Repair Program

Using Disaster Recovery funds from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, the City of houston Department of Housing and Community Development has worked diligently to repair and restore damaged homes. ACE worked with HCD to evaluate existing sanitary sewer connections, designing connections that would transfer service from existing community backlot sewers to trunk lines in the Right of Way.


6" Water Line Installation

Houston Community College

ACE provided utility design services for a building conversion project at the Houston Community College Spring Branch Campus. A 6" water line was line was installed from the Interstate 10 feeder road to service the Nikkos Nikkos restaurant and also fire protection in the form of a hydrant to service the parking lot area.
